If you are using dial-up, please disregard my response. Google toolbar shouldn't be a problem. However, it doesn't hurt to uninstall Google toolbar and try the Y! toolbar again. I suggest you read these 2 tutorials first (I'm assuming you are running Vista):
Y! toolbar is only supported for Internet Explorer and Firefox. If you are trying to install on IE 8 Beta you have to use compatibility settings. If your computer came with a software security suite (e.g., Norton or McAfee), I strongly suggest you make sure that the software is at the latest level (I'm not talking about the virus definitions, I'm talking about program updates). If you are using Vista, did you check Windows Update (or Microsoft Update) for updates? Have you installed Vista Service Pack 1? Bottom line, make sure you have upgraded Vista and your Security software and try again. If you have any questions or additional information, add details to your original question. Hopefully, I'll have time to get back to you. Good luck.
